Experts and Performers
Risto Joost, Conductor
The young Estonian conductor Risto Joost has gained widespread recognition for his work both in the opera pit and on the concert stage. The trained singer and Conductor in Residence of the Estonian National Opera has already held major artistic positions, such as Chief Conductor of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Artistic Director of the MDR Leipzig Radio Choir from 2015 to 2019.
Alexandra Dovgan, Pianist
Alexandra Dovgan’s talent emerged at the age of five when she joined the Academic Central Music School of Moscow State Conservatory, where she is currently studying under renowned teacher Mira Marchenko. Despite her young age, Alexandra has already made her debut in some of the most prestigious concert halls, including the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Great Hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Salzburg Festival.
Gulbenkian Orchestra
The renowned Orquestra Gulbenkian has a permanent body of sixty instrumentalists, a number that can be expanded as needed. They perform regularly at the Gulbenkian Grand Auditorium in Lisbon, as well as numerous locations all over Portugal, in an effort to decentralize music and culture. The orchestra is constantly expanding its activities on the international level, performing in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
Peter Maniura, Freelance Director + Digital Strategist
Peter is an award-winning TV producer and director with over 25 years in music and arts broadcasting, formerly at the BBC and the EBU. He is also a digital media consultant and guest lecturer. At the BBC he was, among other things, Project Director, Classical Archive and Orchestras Digital Strategy for BBC Music, opening up the BBC’s unique music archive to the public in new ways.
Krišs Russman, EMMY-nominated multi-camera Director + Filmmaker
Krišs Russman is an EMMY-nominated, Royal Television Society (RTS) award-winning documentary and multi-camera director specialising in classical music broadcasts and recordings. He has made over 30 documentaries and filmed over 150 performances of concerts, opera, ballet, theatre and jazz for major broadcasters worldwide, including the BBC, Channel 4, ZDF, ARTE, NHK, PBS, WNET, RAI, DR, SVT, HR, HBO, Medici, Bravo, LSO Live, GSO Live and the Berlin Phiharmonic's Digital Concert Hall.
Yvonne Craven, Script Supervisor/Tutor
Yvonne is an experienced script supervisor and production manager. She specialises in a wide range of multi-camera music, event + entertainment programmes including live broadcasts. Originally trained at the BBC, she has been a visiting tutor at the London College of Communication and also the UK National Film & Television School for over 20 years, where she is Lead Tutor of the script supervisor training course in continuity and television skills.
