Hipermestra from Glyndebourne on BBC Radio 3 on 23 September
A live recording of the 2017 Glyndebourne Festival production Cavalli's Hipermestra will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on 23 September.
The production marks the UK premiere of a little known piece that has only been performed once since 1680.
Directed by Graham Vick and conducted by William Christie, the cast includes Hungarian soprano Emőke Barath (Hipermestra), counter-tenor Raffaele Pé (Linceo) and baritone Renato Dolcini (Danao).
