Extraordinary artists and renowned stars at Avant Première 2018

Avant Première Music + Media Market Berlin is not only the largest trade fair and b2b event for performing arts films but also honoured to welcome wonderful artists and stars of the film, music + dance scene this year.

From 17-21 February 2018 the performing arts film industry meets in Berlin for the fifth Avant Première Music + Media Market Berlin!

As the name suggests, Avant Première provides exclusive previews to 600 music + dance films to a professional audience of international industry representatives.

In addition, the rousing conference programme provides cutting-edge information to producers, broadcasters, streaming platforms, distributors and performing arts institutions.

Organised by the IMZ, Avant Première is the largest international trade fair for performing arts films and we are proud to welcome stellar artist from the film, music + dance scene this year:

+ Music producer and singer Fritz Kalkbrenner performs live at the Avant Première Kick-off Party in cooperation with ARTE Berlin Live.

+ The two classical musicians Igudesman & Joo delight us with one of their hilarious live acts at the Avant Première Opening Ceremony.

+ Renowned choreographer Christopher Hampson introduces his imaginative project "The Perfect Place - A 360° Ballet" in the course of the IMZ Academy Session.

+ Filmmaker, screenwriter, director and actor Dani Levy talks about his experiences of telling fictional stories in VR in the course of Innovation Day.

+ Maestro Rubén Dubrovsky will present a new initiative during a rousing reception.

+ Multifaceted artist Barbara Hannigan will talk about her new documentary project "Barbara Hannigan - Taking Risks".
