The oratorio, which is dedicated to the creation of the world as it is described in the Book of Genesis, is considered to be one of the most important vocal works from Joseph Haydn. In this performance the international acclaimed tenor Peter Schreier conducts the Scottish Chamber Orchestra at the 1992 Lucerne Festival. Featuring the well-known stars Edith Mathis, René Pape and Christoph Prégardien.
