In celebration of their 15-year anniversary, San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) announces an open call for a wide range of dance-focused films to present on its internationally acclaimed platform.

SFDFF has become one of the most respected and influential dance film festivals in the world. A non-profit organization operating year round, SFDFF supports independent artists through screenings, panels, filmmaking workshops, and original film productions that convene dance, filmmaking, and music professionals for unprecedented collaborations.

SFDFF’s 2024 season marks our 15-year anniversary with enhanced in-person programming, celebrating the magic of film on the big screen with live interactions including screenings, panels, filmmaking workshops, and original film productions. In addition to being presented on our internationally recognized platform, selected films will be considered for independent jury awards and for the SFDFF touring reel to reach countless audiences around the world.

San Francisco Dance Film Festival runs 16-20 October, 2024. Submissions are now open and are accepted through 16 April; late deadline is 8 May. All films will be considered for both fall 2024 and spring 2024 festivals.
