San Francisco Dance Film Festival invites filmmakers worldwide to submit dance films for its 2026 edition. Deadline: April 17 (Late Deadline: May 8)
The San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) is now accepting submissions for its 2026 edition. One of the most respected dance film festivals internationally, SFDFF showcases groundbreaking screendance and dance-based films of all lengths, genres, dance forms, and budgets, championing work that is risk-taking and evocative.
The 2026 Festival takes place in theaters and on streaming in October and November, featuring screenings, live performances, industry panels, and opportunities for artists to connect. Selected films are considered for independent jury awards.
The submission deadline is April 17 (late deadline: May 8). Selected filmmakers receive a complimentary Festival Pass to all programs and events; industry networking and discovery opportunities; exposure via the SFDFF touring reel; potential distribution through partners like Marquee TV; and social media highlights across SFDFF's channels (Instagram: 125k; Facebook: 46K followers).
