San Francisco Dance Film Festival Now Accepting Submissions for the 2026 Festival.
San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) announces an open call for a wide range of dance-focused films to present on its internationally acclaimed platform.
One of the most respected and influential dance film festivals worldwide, SFDFF is a multi-day event that showcases the best in dance films from across the globe. We seek groundbreaking work in the field of screendance and consider dance-based films of all lengths, genres, dance forms, and budgets. The festival aims to champion films that stand out for their risk-taking and evocative qualities.
The 2026 Festival will take place in theaters and streaming in late fall, offering screenings, industry panels, live performances, and other opportunities for artists to interact. Selected films will be considered for independent jury awards.
Submissions are now open through 17 April; late deadline is 8 May. Selected filmmaker benefits include: a complimentary Festival Pass providing admission to all programs and events during the festival; industry networking and discovery opportunities; opportunities for further exposure via the SFDFF touring reel; potential distribution opportunities via commercial partners like Marquee TV; opportunities to have your film highlighted on SFDFF’s social media channels (Instagram: 120k followers; Facebook: 33k followers); and more!
