San Francisco Dance Film Festival now accepting submissions for the 2025 Festival.
San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) announces an open call for a wide range of dance-focused films to present on its internationally acclaimed platform.
One of the most respected and influential dance film festivals, SFDFF is a multi-day event that showcases the best in dance films from across the globe. We seek groundbreaking work in the field of screendance and consider dance-based films of all lengths, genres, dance forms, and budgets. The festival aims to champion films that stand out as risk-taking and evocative.
SFDFF’s 2025 Festival will celebrate the magic of film on the big screen with screenings, panels, live performances, and other opportunities for artists to interact. We will also offer virtual programming through our streaming partner MarqueeTV, along with bonus material for those who cannot attend in person. Selected films will be considered for independent jury awards.
San Francisco Dance Film Festival runs 5-9 November, 2025 in San Francisco, California. Submissions are now open and are accepted through 16 April; late deadline is 8 May.
