Brandee Younger made history as the first Black woman nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition. A NAACP Image Award winner, she presents her latest album 'Gadabout Season' (2025, Impulse! Records) at Flagey - her most personal and exploratory work yet. Merging jazz, soul, hip-hop and electronic textures into an Afrofuturist soundscape, the album reflects joy, healing and artistic growth.
As The New York Times wrote: “No harpist thus far has been more capable of combining all of the modern harp traditions - from Salzedo, through Dorothy Ashby, through Alice Coltrane - with such strength, grace and commitment.”
