From 17-21 November, Moscow Philharmonic Society will host Another Space: 7th International Festival, Russia’s premiere convention of contemporary music performers. Conductor Vladimir Jurowski will join the Festival as its art director. For five days Tchaikovsky Concert Hall of Moscow Philharmonic Society will host performances of already classical pieces composed in the second half of the 20th century, as well recent compositions written by Russian and international authors.

The performance on 21 November, the last night of the festival, will feature pieces composed by Alexander Vustin and Vladimir Tarnopolski − they belong to a group of the most important modern Russian composers. The concert listings will also feature “Gesualdo dub/raum mit gelöschter Figur for Piano and 17 Instruments” by Marko Nikodijevic, “The tender wind of Elysium” for Violin and Orchestra (World premiere) − piece composed by Olga Rayeva, and “C-Dur” for Strings (World premiere) by Alexei Retinsky, winner of Another Space Music Competition for Young Composers. On the stage it is the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, conducted by art director of the Festival Vladimir Jurowski. Soloists − Sergey Krylov (violin) and Yury Favorin (piano).
