The IMZ looks on the World Music Sector
The music industry has been impacted by Covid-19 all across the globe and across all genres, which is being evaluated in a survey by the IMC. At the same time, the IMZ shines a light on a specialised music sector.
The measures taken in order to stop the Coronavirus from spreading are severely affecting the public, cultural and social life across the world. Aiming at assessing the impact of Covid-19 on all areas and genres in the music ecosystem, the International Music Council is conducting a survey which everyone is encouraged to fill in by clicking on the link below.
At the moment, it remains clear that the crisis has hit the entire music ecosystem as a whole. One of the areas affected and less discussed in the public is the world music sector. This is why in the upcoming IMZ Newsletters, we will shine a light on this specialised and internationally acclaimed music genre and present the latest productions on world music screened at Avant Première 2020.
