In one of the world’s most unusual performance halls – the wooden “La Grange au Lac” on Lake Geneva – the pianist Yuja Wang sets out on a venture of a very particular and personal kind:

Yuja Wang has played Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in the world’s greatest concert halls, but never without a conductor. It is also her first time playing with the Sinfonia Grange au Lac Orchestra.

The maestro accompanies the rehearsals and the concert and gives her impressions of the festival atmosphere, the incredible acoustics of the wooden concert hall and the dreamlike surroundings above Lake Geneva.

In this highly unusual performance hall for Yuja Wang, does nature itself provide an inspiration for a personal rediscovery of Chopin’s famous piano concerto?
