Young Euro Classic from the Konzerthaus Berlin
This summer, music means encouragement!
In its 24th edition, Young Euro Classic once again graces summertime Berlin as the epitome of classical music. A transcontinental “upbeat” featuring wonderful orchestras from all around the world is followed by performances by outstanding European ensembles, before the festival of the world’s best youth orchestras offers a special highlight: “Courage in Concert”, a festival-within-the-festival, brings young musicians from the Ukraine and three of “war’s neighbours” (Estonia, Georgia and Uzbekistan) to Berlin.
After the highly emotional performance last year, this year’s festival appearance by the young Ukrainian musicians is certainly one to look forward to: their subsequent concert programme in 2022 included 30 concerts in many European countries! The orchestra is led by the internationally sought-after conductor Oksana Lyniv.
Compared to Ukraine, Estonia is a very small country, but one with a large – and very vivacious – musical tradition! No wonder the Orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre presents itself at Young Euro Classic with a programme focusing on music from its homeland.
Next to the concert recordings, one Highlight version will be produced and soon available for distribution.
