Young Euro Classic from the Konzerthaus Berlin
5* live streams: This summer, Young Euro Classic returns to the unique atmosphere of the festival – with large orchestras and a sold-out hall!
The 2022 edition of Young Euro Classic will be an exciting mix of audience favourites such as the European Union Youth Orchestra and very special guests on 10 August: despite all the uncertainties of the war – the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine will perform. The conductor is much sought-after Oksana Lyniv. A new addition will be the Chineke! Junior Orchestra from London, which provides a platform for talented young people of colour. At the podium is Venezuelan Glass Marcano. In the line of European guests, the National Youth Orchestras are always a sure bank for excellent skills and a lot of temperament. This also applies to the Portuguese, who this time bring along Bruckner's monumental Ninth Symphony as well as the world premiere of a millennial, the 22 year old composer Marta Domingues. Together with Daniel Harding, young musicians from all over the USA, from Alaska to California, Texas and New York, return to Berlin – their motto is “Think Big!” with Mahler’s expansive and stirring Fifth Symphony and Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto with Alisa Weilerstein.
