Legendary singer, songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen passed away in November of last year, but his words and music will undoubtedly live on forever. At the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, world-renowned folk pop duo First Aid Kit invited musicians and actors to create a truly magnificent evening, in tribute to the late Cohen, his songs and his poetry. Among the musicians invited were Annika Norlin, Frida Hyvönen, Jesper Lindell, Maja Francis and Loney, Dear.

"Ever since we started doing music ten years ago, he’s been a constant source of inspiration. He was a truly sensational songwriter, and had a unique language as well. Every line, every word is heavy with meaning. When Cohen passed this past November, we were very moved and felt we really wanted to do this tribute concert to our idol", First Aid Kit says in a statement.

Production company Anna&Paul & Co are no newcomers on the concert, ballet and opera scene. They’ve been in charge of capturing the magic at P3 Guld, Sweden’s largest radio music awards, and ballets like Swan Lake, and has an exciting upcoming project with the Royal Swedish Opera in Spring 2018.

Capturing the magic of a First Aid Kit concert is no easy task, but as the concert is broadcast on Kulturstudion on SVT 2 in late 2017, hopefully the magic will shine through.
