Verbier Festival 2017: 21 July - 6 August 2017
The Verbier Festival is a classical music festival which encourages encounters and sharing between great musicians and young aspiring artists from around the world.
It has always been very easy to get into the nasty habit of name dropping, when it comes to describing the programme of the Verbier Festival, but never before was it as easy as this year. To mention but a few is already overwhelming, yet the list still is far from complete, so make sure to keep an eye on this year’s festival so as not to miss the other great names that are missing on this list:
Charles Dutoit, Renaud Capuçon, András Schiff, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Grigory Sokolov, Denis Kozhukhin, Dan Zhu, Evgeny Kissin, Quatuor Ébène, Nikolaï Lugansky, Truls ¬Mørk, Leonidas Kavakos, Wang Yujia (Yuja Wang), Thomas Quasthoff, George Li, Francesco Piemontesi…
The recordings from Verbier Festival have been produced by Idéale Audience and have been distributed by EuroArts in the past, and we are looking forward to continuing this fruitful cooperation.
