This was the IMZ Academy “Going Live - From the performing arts stage to screens worldwide“
This IMZ Academy examined the phenomenon of "live" from strategic, editorial, artistic, practical and technological perspectives and took place from 20-21 September in the course of the International Television Festival Golden Prague.
With 21 participants from 18 renowned organisations from 11 countries, this IMZ Academy edition was once again very diverse and allowed for an encompassing, international experience exchange.
The sessions were led by IMZ Academy Director Peter Maniura (Project Director Classical Archive and Orchestras Digital Strategy, BBC Music) with experts and eminent guest speakers John Kieser (Executive Vice President + Provost, New World Symphony), Hervé Boissière (Founder + CEO, medici.tv), and Peter Stewart (Digital and Social Media Producer, BBC + Author of "The Live-Streaming Handbook") sharing their insights on the latest developments and technologies in the field.
Through hands-on case studies and best practice examples, the expert speakers addressed appropriate communication strategies for live streams and evaluated possible partnership models. Moreover, this IMZ Academy also covered practical considerations and evaluated the implications of live streams on artists.
