IMZ @ Golden Prague 2021
This was the 58th Golden Prague International Television Festival in collaboration with the IMZ International Music + Media Centre!
Finally reunited in person and on-site in Prague, the great collaboration between the IMZ, the Golden Prague ITF and the EBU continued to thrive.
On Thursday, 23 September, the Presentation on IMZ Online Services took place. Hosted by Katharina Jeschke (IMZ Secretary General), industry experts discussed the impact of digitalization on the work process, the requirements of the digital content trade and explained how IMZ's Content.Agent corresponds to Europe‘s Media Action Plan + its impact on global media business development. Thanks to the speakers Arild Erikstad (NRK + IMZ President), Armin Luttenberg (ORF Enterprise), Veronika Liebl (Ars Electronica), Ulrike Köstinger (Arts Consolidated) and Martin Dawson (Creative Europe Media) for sharing their valuable insights.
The same day, the IMZ Directorate Meeting took place. One day later on 24 September, the IMZ Board came together. These important meetings have been a part of the Golden Prague ITF for years, and no other in 2021.
On Friday, 24 September, the EBU-IMZ Panel "Innovating the future of classical music TV" was held. Thanks to expert speakers Nicolas Aboyneau (France Télévisions), Wolfgang Bergmann (ARTE Deutschland), Arild Erikstad (NRK + IMZ President), Miranda Harmer (Association of European Conservatoires), Peter Sellars (Opera, theatre + festival director) + Laetitia Huberti (Belgian Public Radio & Television) for sharing your opinion on the future of classical music within public-service broadcasters’ content strategies.
And finally, on Saturday, 25 September, the official Awards Ceremony took place on-site at The New Stage of the National Theatre, broadcasted by Czech TV. During this, the EBU-IMZ Outstanding Achievement Award was presented to Peter Sellars, next to the popular Grand Prix, three Czech Crystal, the Television Prize and two Special Mention For Extraordinary Artistic Achievement Awards. A heartfelt congratulations to all winners! We are especially happy to see so many productions by IMZ Members among them!
