The Pärt Project

In preparation for the 90th birthday of Arvo Pärt, one of the most performed classical composers world-wide, Poorhouse International has put together and properly cleared three programmes produced by Estonian Public Broadcaster (ERR). They are Tintinnabuli Forest, Diaries and the Third Symphony.

Tintinnabuli Forest is a documentary about the opening of a new complex for the Arvo Pärt Centre by architects Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano in 2018, in the middle of costal forest, with lots of life music and contributions from Arvo and Nora Pärt, conductor Tonu Kaljuste and musicologist Toomas Sittan. Running Time 59 Minutes.

Arvo Pärt Diaries enhance the understanding of the composer's thinking and his music. Arvo Pärt reads and comments on selected passages with music of his in the background. Running Time 34 Minutes

Third Symphony. A stunning performance by Paavo Järvi and the Estonian Festival Orchestra recorded in 2018, including a five-minute introduction by the conductor.

Running time: 24 minutes.
