EOS Films TV says “Thank you IMZ”!
Thank you for the best professional experience!
To the IMZ,
This thank-you note is long over-due.
From the moment I applied for my membership till the IMZ meeting in Berlin which seems so long ago, I feel I have been looked after like a privileged member of an exclusive club, with fast, cheerful and spot-on assistance whenever I needed it. Truly impressive!
The four day event in Berlin is the most fruitful trade event I've attended in my professional life. The schedule was well thought through, with enough fascinating things going on, but not so packed that you had no time to socialize and make all the important connections and informal pitches.
And of course I saw all the latest and best music and art films AND got a fair hearing for my own film A Shanghai Symphony. The response to my 2 minute presentation and 5 minute screening was overwhelming - it was not just pleasantries but actual sales, two while I was waiting for the cloakroom. And in the cafeteria, I dropped in on a conversation between two gentlemen, and one of them decided there and then to invest in my two current feature documentaries. And he turned to be a fan of one of my books.
And this was my first time. How I wish I had joined IMZ earlier!
I'm already looking forward to my next IMZ meeting. And I wish everyone safe and healthy.
With warmest regards and deepest gratitude,
Shuyun
