Taggenbrunn Live: Asmik Grigorian / Philharmonix
Two exceptional live performances by Asmik Grigorian, accompanied by Lukas Genusias, and Philharmonix, at Taggenbrunn Castle.
Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian has made a name for herself as both concert and opera singer since her international career began with a triumphant performance of "Madama Butterfly" at the Royal Swedish Opera, where she proved herself as both singer and actress. Since then, she has worked with numerous world-class conductors and recently released her debut album of songs by Rachmaninov.
Accompanied by pianist Lukas Genusias (Alpha Classics), sings an excerpt of the songs, captivating the audience in Taggenbrunn Castle with a breathtaking display of her vocal abilities.
Philharmonix consists of world-class musicians of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras, united by a passion for music - but not just the joy of classical repertoire. In their brilliant new versions, they also tackle jazz and Latin, Jewish folk music, Hollywood melodies and pop. They are influenced by the sound aesthetics and tradition of the top orchestras they usually work for and have won numerous prizes and prestigious classical music competitions. When they are on stage together as Philharmonix, the audience wins: where else does the audience move to the rhythm of the ensemble in the concert hall, laugh at original interjections, cheer with enthusiasm - and listen to world-class music at the same time?
Both titles, among other ORF music & performing arts highlights, will be presented at the upcoming Avant Première Music + Media Market 2023.
