Venice TV Award: Call for entries
The VENICE TV AWARD 2021, supported by the IMZ, is now accepting entries! IMZ Members receive a 25% discount for the first entry.
We believe that the best work deserves to be awarded, honouring the companies and individuals responsible for the creation of the finest work on TV.
The award is seen as a statement that the TV Industry remains active, successful and creative in a changing Media-Landscape and underlines the continued global appeal of TV. It brings us together. It comforts and connects. It also lets escape. Even in turbulent times, shows are keeping us informed and entertained.
Gold Medals and Nominees will be awarded in 16 categories. Among them: Performing Arts (Music, Theatre, Dance) featuring Stage Recordings, Documentaries or Best Of Technical High Quality.
Deadline: 30 June
Eligibility: 1 January 2020 - 20 September 2021
Winner Announcement: End of September
The jury panel is made up of around 30 experts, among others: Sonia Rovai - head of scripted production at Sky Italia; Rohit Gupta - president at Sony Pictures Network India; André Takeda - Vice President Creative Services Disney; Sasha Breslau, Head of Content Acquisitions, ITV; Lothaire Burg, Coordinateur auprès de la Direction de production, Directeur créatif, ARTE; Michael Gray, Producer, BBC; Bonolo Modisakwane, Account Executive Content Distribution, ViacomCBS Networks Africa; Nayo Titzin, Producer, Director, Artistic Director.
The Nominees will be pre-selected online and the jury in Venice will judge and discuss the awarding of the Gold Medals. The award brings national and international recognition for quality content.
