Sound of Winter: a Winter Journey
The production combines visual impressions of the Hohe Tauern National Park with Franz Schubert's "Winter Journey".
The production combines the visual impressions of the breathtaking landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park with one of the most important works of Austrian music history: Franz Schubert's "Winter Journey". Chamber Singer Michael Schade is accompanied by Christoph Hammer on the fortepiano. The Bach Consort Vienna and the Salzburg Bach Choir, under the direction of Rubén Dubrovsky, perform chamber music and choral songs of Franz Schubert at the parish church St. Leonhard in the village of Mittersill - in the midst of an alpine winter wonderland. In the special year 2020, the performance took place without an audience.
