Snorri Hallgrímsson: Nowhere Sessions
Filmed in rural Iceland, Snorri Hallgrímsson’s “Nowhere Sessions” unfolds in an intimate world of piano, strings and silence.
Snorri Hallgrímsson’s Nowhere Sessions was filmed and recorded in a remote cabin in the Icelandic countryside, far from studios and cities. Working with close collaborators, he shapes music that carries the stillness of its surroundings, where silence holds as much presence as sound. Hallgrímsson plays the piano, joined by finely woven strings, and occasionally adds a quiet vocal line, almost another instrument in the texture. The pieces unfold unhurriedly, intimate and restrained, shaped by a place rooted in memory. A quiet space to settle into — and to listen closely.
