Professional production companies sometimes reject smaller events because their budgets cannot support a traditional multicamera crew. These projects then receive limited coverage, move to another provider, or are not recorded at all.

At the Schrammel.Klang.Festival in Litschau, we tested a different approach. Using Notation AI and DeckCam, one operator controlled five cameras while recording and streaming five concerts during the festival’s first weekend.

Notation AI supported the concert-focused workflow, while DeckCam simplified PTZ camera control and switching. Together, the systems allowed us to deliver professional multicamera coverage with a significantly smaller crew.

The project showed that efficient production technology does not replace professional expertise. Instead, it enables production companies to offer a new service level for clients with limited budgets.

For our industry, this creates an opportunity: smaller festivals and cultural organisations can gain professional video coverage and greater online visibility, while production companies can reach new clients and develop relationships that may grow into larger future projects.
