The much-lauded premiere of Simon Boccanegra that could take place thanks to the Opernhaus Zürich’s unique performance model and was broadcast live on Arte on 6 December, 2020, is now post-produced and available for distribution. "Simon Boccanegra" marks the final new production in a series of great successes at the Opernhaus Zürich led by Fabio Luisi, General Music Director, and Intendant and director Andreas Homoki. The story of powerful and power-hungry men, and the women that fall victim to their familial dramas, closes out eight triumphant years of cultivating Verdi’s operatic repertoire.
