SF Dance Film Festival Announces 2025 Awards
The San Francisco Dance Film Festival presents the awards for its 16th annual festival.
The San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) is honoured to present the awards for its 2025 Festival. Selected from over 90 films from countries around the world, these winners were determined by 2025 Award Jury Members Celia Rowlson-Hall, Dazaun Soleyn, Jim Yager, Joseph Walsh, and Judy Tyrus.
The SFDFF 2025 Award Winners are:
Choreography, Performance: “Spoken Movement Family Honour” (United Kingdom, 2025), directed by Daniel Gurton
Cinematography: “Aito Hine” (French Polynesia, 2024), directed by Krysten Resnick
Set/Production Design: “Ammonia” (United Kingdom, 2025), directed by Joe Connor
Editing: “Ode Maritima” (France & Portugal, 2024), directed by Fu Le
Score: “Waiting Places” (United States, 2025), directed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber
Sound Design, Screendance: “Chambers Street” (United States, 2024), directed by Scott Dempsey Keenan
Narrative: “Ballerina” (Islamic Republic of Iran, 2024), directed by Soheil Babaei and Farima Khalili
Doc Short: “The Steppers Visit South Africa” (Canada, 2024), directed by Hugh Durnford-Dionne
Documentary: “Last Dance at the Sundance Stompede” (United Kingdom, 2025), directed by Graham Clayton-Chance
Special Mention: “The Dancer” (United States, 2025), directed by Lacey Uhlemeyer
Audience Favourite: "Still Got It" (United States, 2025) directed by Dana Wilson, Jillian Meyers, Megan Lawson
