Getting Closer: Authentic Collaborations through Opera, Music and Dance
Join the upcoming RESEO Conference in partnership with La Monnaie / De Munt, taking place from 26-28 September in Brussels, Belgium.
Opera, music and dance education is increasingly recognised as a valid medium to connect with local communities. Participatory intercultural projects empower communities to discover their own capacity for creation, while enabling exchange among groups that would otherwise not come into contact.
But what are the challenges involved in the participatory process, and how can arts education professionals overcome them? What does accessibility mean in this day and age, and how can participatory productions make links with the widest possible audience? How can arts educators continue to explore and develop their own practice?
Drawing inspiration from the European project “Get Close to Opera”, the RESEO Conference 2019 in partnership with La Monnaie / De Munt invites you to take a look at education work with groups from different social and cultural backgrounds and with diverse abilities, analyse various approaches to social inclusion and, on a broader level, explore what culture has to offer to European society.
Arts education professionals from across Europe and beyond will meet in Brussels on 26-28 September 2019 for three days of debates, keynotes, workshops and exchanges. Join and find out how we can bridge the gap! Early Bird Rate until 15 June!
