Such an event wouldn’t be complete without Mahler. The world-renowned baritone Christian Gerhaher appears as soloist in the “Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen”. Besides works by Schubert, Respighi (Fontane di Roma) and Verdi, the orchestra also happens to have a couple of musical surprises up its sleeve...
