Tarmo Peltokoski is at the helm of the Hong Kong Philharmonic for this concert featuring music by two contrasting composers: Camille Saint-Saëns and Richard Wagner.

The French composer’s ever-popular Carnival of the Animals offers a chance for the orchestra’s principals to shine alongside pianists Arthur & Lucas Jussen in vividly descriptive music of real brilliance.

The full orchestra, meanwhile, is let off the leash in Henk de Vlieger’s Orchestral Adventure drawing together highlights of Wagner’s monumental Ring – a superb distillation of some of the most exciting, moving and thrilling music ever written, presented in concentrated orchestral form.
