“Opera like never before”. Live opera broadcast
„Opera like never before“ is a brand-new concept for live opera broadcasting: critical, entertaining, versatile and passionate. See it at Avant Première 2019!
For three years the production company Kinescope Film („The hands of my mother“), TV Skyline (among others Football Champions-League) and Axel Brüggemann (Eras of music history) have broadcasted live from the Bayreuther Festivals: They have presented a live opera and an entertaining show program on the highest technical standards and were nominated for the German Grimme Award.
Now the inventors of „Opera like never before“ present clips from their high-end productions, discuss their visions of live broadcasting of classical works on TV and on the silver screen and introduce the highlights from the Bayreuth productions of „Ring of the Nibelungen“, „The Meistersingers“ and „Lohengrin“.
Furthermore, they present their innovative program for the intermission shows with classical music stars like Piotr Beczala, Christian Thielemann, Katharina Wagner, Frank Castorf, Anja Harteros, Barrie Kosky and many others.
