The New York City Ballet performs three key works from its repertoire during its grand debut in Madrid:
The first and emblematic work created by Balanchine "Serenade" by George Balanchine, composed by Tchaikovsky, followed by Quadrille, also by Balanchine, which combines American folk dance movements with the rigour and precision of classical ballet in a true tour de force, to music by Vivaldi and Corelli. The Times Are Racing, choreographed by Justin Peck in 2017, is closing the show with excerpts from the electronic music album America, by Dan Deacon.
