New Member: Outsider Pictures
Outsider Pictures is an independent sales + distribution company releasing international arthouse and independent films + documentaries in the US.
Founded in 2005, Outsider Pictures has released close to 70 films and represents more than 50 titles. Over the last decade we have acquired mostly Latin American and Spanish films but have recently tested the water with Indian cinema.
Our interest in music + dance stretches from 5 Days in September: The rebirth of an Orchestra to Tis Autumn: The Search for Jackie Paris to Mundo Alas and we recently acquired Carlos Varela: Live in Havana as well as The Forbidden Shore and The Poet of Havana, all centering around the modern Cuban music scene.
The company's founder Paul Hudson started his film career selling popcorn in the first multiplex cinema in the UK, and then joined United Artists after University in the UK, and subsequently worked on the worldwide release of all of the James Bond films with Pierce Brosnan. United Artists moved him to Los Angeles in 2001 and after the sale of MGM/UA in 2005, he launched Outsider Pictures.
