Caminante Films
Let's welcome our new IMZ Member Caminante Films!
Caminante Films is an independent production company based in New York City. Founded by Venezuelan-American producer Daniel Sznajderman, we are dedicated to creating quality audiovisual content. Bringing to life original and captivating stories—film, TV, web-based and beyond—is our business.
Since our creation, we have been especially active in documentaries and present in Central America and Mexico. Along with Red Elephant Films, Caminante is currently producing a docuseries about indigenous music and dance in Mexico titled "Sanctuary of Butterflies". This visually striking, character driven story follows musician and folk hero Luis Perez-Ixoneztli on a journey to explore the living traditions of Mexico’s Indigenous Peoples. Luis’ fascinating life and career, defined by the study of pre-Colombian music and culture, informs and compliments this journey. What emerges is an engrossing look at a rarely seen side of Mexico, and a haunting portrayal of modern-day indigenous identity.
