Founded in 2017 by director and screenwriter Edgar Ferreira, Galope Films is a production company based in Lisbon, Portugal, specializing in documentary and promotional films for cultural and artistic subjects, with a particular focus on classical music.

At its heart lies a tight-knit team, committed to creating original, visually crafted and emotionally resonant works, with a keen eye for detail and years of experience capturing both the grandeur of orchestral performances as well as the most delicate, intimate moments of this art form.

Among its most recent works are the feature-length documentaries Sum of the Parts, a historical portrait of the Gulbenkian Orchestra through the eyes of musicians, conductors, and international soloists, and Coro, which offers an intimate look into the multiple lives behind the unique sound of the Gulbenkian Choir. Both films were released nationwide in Portuguese cinemas.

With a legacy of pushing boundaries and exploring the intersection of art and narrative, Galope Films believes that every story is unique and deserves to be told with a creative approach that highlights its intrinsic beauty, bringing fresh perspectives and committing to excellence in every project.
