Under the baton of Marc Coppey, the PKF – Prague Philharmonia, one of the best Czech orchestras with an international reputation, performs a chamber music concert in Palais Buquoy, one of the gems of Baroque architecture in the heart of the Lesser Town in Prague.

This year's concert features works by Mozart, Dvořák, Saint-Saëns, Ravel and Fauré and enables to have a look into the otherwise inaccessible Palais Buquoy, since 1919 the seat of the French Embassy in Prague. In 1988, one year before the Velvet Revolution, the former French President Francois Mitterrand hosted Václav Havel and other Czech dissidents in the Palais. Its cultural history is full of highlights, as for instance, that Maurice Ravel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart themselves performed directly in the Music Salon of the Palais.

The soloist and conductor in one person, the French cello virtuoso Marc Coppey, is one of the most respected soloists and chamber musicians in his field and has been recognised for his celebrated interpretations as a soloist and his extensive exploration of chamber music with some of the finest musicians today.
