György Kurtág, one of the most influential contemporary composers, the last great figure of the post-war avant-garde, remains vibrantly creative. Kurtág Fragments follows his emotional and artistic journey through key places—Transylvania, Budapest, Prussia Cove, and Paris—where his magnum opus, Fin de Partie premiered in 2022. Featuring Víkingur Ólafsson, Steven Isserlis, and Pierre-Laurent Aimard, the film captures how raw emotions become music—a poetic, intimate portrait of a timeless artist.
