ISO publishes ISCC as global standard
The approval of the International Standard Content Code (ISCC) under ISO 24138 is a crucial step in strengthening confidence and enhancing trust in digital communication in the age of AI.
The ISCC’s open-source technology applies advanced algorithms to generate unique, content-derived codes that can be used to identify, track, and manage any type of digital content, including text, images, audio, and video. It distinctively focuses on the identification of digital media files themselves, thus complementing established identifiers such as ISAN, EIDR, ISWC, ISRC, ISBN, ISSN, which provide a more general meta-identification of a particular publication or composition.
ISCC can cluster media files that are similar to each other, making it useful for managing copyrights, AI-generated content, and discovering related digital materials.

The IMZ is particularly proud to have actively contributed to the development of the video specifications for the ISCC and that the ISCC is an integral part of Content.Agent, whose CEO, Frank Schulleri, advocates for the interests and needs of the audiovisual sector as a member of the ISCC Advisory Board.
