Golden Prague turns 60 in September

Celebrating excellence in cultural film-making since 60 year together with the IMZ!

We are excited to announce that the IMZ will once again take part in the highly anticipated Golden Prague Television Festival, celebrating the finest achievements in performing arts films. This year the event will mark the 60. Birthday of the event and visitors and professionals alike are excited. Also because FEDORA will present its prestigious "FEDORA Digital Prize".

Kickoff judging Sessions
18th September

The festival kicks off on Monday, with ranks of the general public and professionals from the world of television and theater having the opportunity to gather and watch as the very best dance, drama, and music documentaries and recordings of concerts are sampled and awarded. Bringing together Europa’s finest, will again be a networking peak this year.

In several activities the IMZ will be involved.

The EBU and IMZ Panel “Turning Classical Music (back) into Entertainment”
On 20 September 2023, from 13:30 to 15:00

Join us in this engaging session on Wednesday in the Great Hall. The panel session will bring together a diverse group of speakers, including broadcasters, producers, artists, and format distributors, to explore innovative approaches in integrating classical music into broadcasters' entertainment offerings. The aim is to reach broader audiences and ignite a fresh wave of interest in the timeless art form.

Board Meetings + Celebrating 60 years Golden Prague
On 21 September, from 10:00 to 11:30

Thursday will be packed with exciting events, including the IMZ Board Meeting, followed by the EBU Board Meeting. The celebration continues with the International Television Festival GP 60th Birthday lunch party, where we will commemorate the festival's remarkable legacy and achievements.

The highlight of the festival will be the Awards Ceremony held in the Great Hall, where we will celebrate the winning films and applaud the incredible talents behind them. The EBU together with the IMZ, are will be proud to present the Outstanding Achievement Award 2023.

The IMZ is honored to be a part of the Golden Prague Television Festival once again, celebrating the captivating world of performing arts films and its enduring impact on culture and society.
