The IMZ Academy Workshop 2023 'Live Multi-Camera Directing in Classical Music' took place over an incredible week at the stunning Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon with 16 talented workshop participants and our brilliant experts.
Over five days, guided by Peter Maniura, Krišs Russman, Yvonne Craven, and João Hora, participants learned how to capture a musical work in a live concert setting. It was a unique opportunity to work with the world-class Gulbenkian Orchestra and use the state-of-the-art equipment and control room of the Gulbenkian Foundation. We also had the privilege of meeting conductor Risto Joost and exchanging ideas on filming classical music.
We're incredibly impressed by the skills demonstrated by the students—their output is truly top-notch!
A massive thank you to Gulbenkian directors Risto Nieminen and Miguel Sobral Cid, André Vieira, and the entire technical team. But how can we not express our gratitude to the Gulbenkian Orchestra and pianist Alexandra Dovgan, conducted by Risto Joost. Last but not least, a heartfelt thank you to our four workshop leaders and the 16 participants.
