ICMA: Nomination for Arthaus Musik
The Jury of the International Classical Music Award 2020 has nominated two products from Arthaus Musik in the category Video Performance.
Two out of Arthaus Musik’s releases are nominated for the International Classical Music Award 2020 (ICMA) in the category Video Performances.
The nominees are:
HANS WERNER HENZE – THE BASSARIDS, the rare revival at the Salzburg Festival in 2018 under the direction of Kent Nagano and staged by Krzysztof Warlikowski 52 years after the premiere of The Bassarids at the same place. Featuring the young US tenor Sean Panikkar in the role of Dionysus, Russel Braun as his opponent Pentheus but also Tanja Ariane Baumgartner and Vera-Lotte Böcker who has been singing at the highest level.

TREASURES – GÜHER & SÜHER PEKINEL, the extensive edition including 4 DVDs, 2 Blu-rays and 7 CDs with numerous Piano Works and Piano Concertos which presents the most important recordings from the career of the Turkish twin sisters. The real treasures of the world-class piano duo who is playing with the sixth sense.
In total the Jury has nominated 390 audio and video productions from 130 labels for the ICMA 2020.
