The festival, which has been running for 60 years, is one of the most prestigious events in the world of television programming, and winning an award at the festival can be a significant achievement for any filmmaker.

The most distinguished prize is the Grand Prix Golden Prague, which is awarded to the winning programme of the festival. This prize comes with a financial award of EUR 10,000, and it is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a programme at the festival. To win this award, your film will need to impress the Festival Jury with its exceptional quality, creativity, and technical execution.

In addition to the Grand Prix, there are also three Czech Crystals that are awarded to winning programmes in individual categories (documentaries, performing arts, and recordings of concert performances). If your film is deemed to be the best in its category, it could win this prize.

Another award you could potentially win is a Special Mention for Extraordinary Artistic Achievement, Czech Television Prize or Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 Award which includes a financial award of CZK 50,000.

Overall, Golden Prague International Television Festival is a fantastic opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work, as the festival celebrates the best in television programming from around the world. Don't miss the deadline on 31 May 2023.
