From Golden Prague to International Reach
From Golden Prague, dance films move beyond the festival to broadcasters, festivals and international audiences worldwide.
At Golden Prague International Television Festival, selected films gain more than a screening. They enter an international network of broadcasters, festivals and industry professionals, opening pathways for further distribution and visibility.
A recent example is the Grand Prix 2025 winner, Les Saisons de la danse (Seasons of Dance), directed by Tommy Pascal.
This German-Belgian-French production reinterprets Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (recomposed by Max Richter) as a cinematic exploration of a relationship across four chapters, spring, summer, autumn and winter. Set in diverse natural environments, the film creates a strong connection between choreography and landscape.
“We didn’t want to film something that already exists on stage. We wanted to create a work connecting movement and nature,” say the creators. Following its success at Golden Prague, the film continued internationally with broadcasts on Arte and RTBF.
What does it take to succeed at Golden Prague?
French producer Boris Berger, whose Les Saisons de la danse received the Grand Prix in 2025, will join the international jury of the 2026 edition. His dual perspective reflects the festival’s role as a platform connecting creators, broadcasters and decision-makers in performing arts films.
