Bruno Monsaingeon honoured with the EBU-IMZ Lifetime Achievement Award 2018

In recognition of a lifetime devoted to excellence in producing music films, EBU and IMZ honour Bruno Monsaingeon with the EBU-IMZ Lifetime Achievement Award during the International Television Festival Golden Prague.

“It is with utmost pleasure that we celebrate the contribution of extraordinary luminaries to the cultural film landscape by awarding the EBU-IMZ Lifetime Achievement Award together with the EBU Music + Dance Experts Group.", says Arild Erikstad, President of the IMZ.

Bruno Monsaingeon is a Paris-based concert violinist, writer and film director who, while still active in the field of performance has, in the last four decades, devoted a large part of this time to the making of musical films.

His filmed profiles of some of the legendary performers of our time (Yehudi Menuhin, Glenn Gould, Sviatoslav Richter, David Oistrakh, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau) have gained worldwide acclaim. Many of his films have won prestigious awards at International Festivals, and are available on DVD. His new film Mstislav Rostropovich, the indomitable bow will be released in autumn 2018.
