DNO and Naxos present: Springtime in Amsterdam
The First Feature Film by Christof Loy - “A musical melancholic film comedy as I always wanted to make it” – Premieres in Amsterdam, Berlin and Salzburg.
The internationally renowned opera director Christof Loy presents us as his first feature film a most charming musical comedy. A film that refers to the genre of musical films, but at the same time is timelessly modern and evokes a melancholy that seems long forgotten.
In "Springtime in Amsterdam" a cosmopolitan group of artists meet by chance in the Dutch capital and experience all kinds of confusions and unravelings during two days and nights.
Opera singers Annette Dasch, Thomas Oliemans, Theresa Kronthaler and Norman Reinhardt sing, dance and act alongside musical star Henk Poort, Swiss-Hungarian actress Sunnyi Melles and Dutch actor Barry Atsma.
"Springtime in Amsterdam" is a production of the Dutch National Opera (DNO) from an idea and script by Christof Loy and is presented by Naxos.
