CAR/MEN by Chicos Mambo
A true Carmen 2.0: with an entirely male cast, the Chicos Mambo reverses genres and shakes up all codes.
A true Carmen 2.0: with an entirely male cast, the Chicos Mambo reverses genres and shakes up all codes, mixing opera, ballet, flamenco, contemporary dance, comedy and tragedy.
After more than 5 years of touring with TUTU, Chicos Mambo are back with a new creation: CAR/MEN. Directed by Philippe Lafeuille, Bizet's work is revisited by eight virtuoso dancers and a singer who, with fantasy, tenderness and derision, play with masculine and feminine. A choreographic show mixing humour, theatre, singing, acrobatics, and video.
This modern CAR/MEN is sublimated by the fluidity of the bodies as well as the singer's high-flying lyrical voice, evolving in a whirlwind of colours!
