Call for Submissions: 2026 SF Dance Film Festival

San Francisco Dance Film Festival invites filmmakers worldwide to submit dance films for its 2026 edition. Deadline: April 17 (Late Deadline: May 8).

Now in its seventeenth year, the San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) is calling on filmmakers, producers, and distributors worldwide to submit work for its 2026 edition.

A cornerstone of the international screendance community, SFDFF is a multi-day event showcasing the best in dance film globally, championing work that is bold, risk-taking, and evocative. The 2026 Festival will be held in theaters and on streaming in late fall, with screenings, industry panels, live performances, and artist networking at its core. Selected films are eligible for independent jury awards.

SFDFF accepts submissions across five categories: Art/Experimental, Documentary, Screendance, Music Video, and Narrative, across all lengths, styles, dance forms, and budgets.

Regular deadline: April 17 (late deadline: May 8)

Selected filmmaker benefits include a complimentary Festival Pass; industry networking and discovery opportunities; exposure via the SFDFF touring reel; potential distribution through commercial partners like Marquee TV; and social media features across SFDFF's high-reach channels (Instagram: 125K; Facebook: 46K).
