Call for Documentaries: San Francisco Dance Film
SFDFF invites filmmakers, producers, distributors, and broadcasters to submit dance-focused documentaries + dance based-films for its 10th anniversary!
Dance Film SF is looking to feature dance-focused documentaries for its 10th anniversary San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF), a multi-day event showcasing the best dance film from around the world. A wide range of submissions are highly encouraged including explorations into current or historical artistic topics, cultural and social commentaries through the lens of dance, backstage insights into everyday artistic life, and much more.
Selected films will be presented at our internationally recognised festival, eligible for cash prizes, and considered for the SFDFF touring reel to reach audiences around the world.
SFDFF has become one of the most respected and influential dance film festivals through years of presenting groundbreaking dance film including screendance, VR/360 films, multi-media live performances, gallery installations, documentaries, screenings of live captures from the world's great stages, and other genre-defying dance-based film.
In addition to dance documentaries, submissions are encouraged for a broad array of dance-based film. Regular submissions deadline is 25 April. Late deadline is 15 May.
