The first two episodes focus on Gustav Mahler and his 1st Symphony and Ludwig van Beethoven and his 7th. Aaron Copland's 3rd and Symphonie fantastique by Hector Berlioz to follow. What makes these beginnings of an ongoing series so extraordinary to watch is the charisma of the presenting artist, Sir Antonio Pappano.
