BE THE PHOENIX AND NOT THE FLAME
It is almost like a Christmas story: Searching for Phoenix. A short dance film about a world yearning for change.
In the backdrop of the COVID-19-crises in Europe, the film takes you on a journey with the young bureaucrat Phoenix, who is assigned by his supervisor from the Ministry of Innovation and Change to access the implications of the pandemic for the German economy.
He embarks on a journey, where he must overcome personal and professional obstacles to fulfill his work assignment. With songs by the British jazz singer and song-writer Emma Bonnici.
Together with EMERSION(FR), 36 MONTHS (GR), CIRCOLOGY (FIN) and DANSOMATON (IT) – SEARCHING FOR PHOENIX (DE) is the fifth short dance film developed and produced in the scope of the European dance film LAB: mAPs- migrating Artists Project and its first edition and collection on the theme of POWER supported by Creative Europe.
